Patrik AKA Pat McGinnis was born in a small town in southern Sweden in 1988. He started to sing and play early with his grandmother and his sisters in Swedish churches and in retirement residences. In 2001, Patrik met Robin Andersson as they passed 7th grade in high school. They then formed a Rockabilly band. The years went on and They met Karl Victor (bassman of Wildfire Willie, and the Vic-Tone Records boss) and played a little bit together. They then we started The Southern string band and released a single – Cradle Rock/ Wipe Those Tears.
After a while they met Johnny Jean and then mounted The Three Stars and they went all the way from country to Rockabilly. They released some recordings on the Turkey and Rock Paradise French labels. Patrik wrote a lot of their own songs, amongst them, the most famous – Dont say you love me. After a few years, the band decided to break up as the interest cooled a bit, and a break was necessary. In 2018, Pat McGinnis starts his own project and now mixes both country and rockabilly. The new backing band features piano, steel guitar and fiddles with top musicians like Karl Victor, Jussi, Matteo Ringressi and more.
